The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Kyambogo together with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) region from Greater Mbarara have announced the first-ever NRM Cup in the western region happening on September 29th in Mbarara.
The NRM Sports Day which will feature a series of games including football, netball, and rugby among others at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara City will be presided over by the Chief Guest; Mr Seth Murari, who is the Head Games and Sports at ONC.
The event, according to Mr Murari will see a host of NRM Leadership in the Greater Mbarara Region such as Hon. Mwine Mpaka (Mbarara City), Hon Dr Bright Rwamirama, Ms Kibaaju Charity Kamuhanda who is set to contest for Mbarara City Woman MP seat among others.
The featured football contest on the day will see a team from ONC Kyambogo led by Seth himself participate in a host of football duels against NRM leaders in Mbarara, Mbarara City Traders, and others, with the best overall winner set to be awarded a trophy and an undisclosed cash prize.
Murari therefore called upon each and everyone to turn up in big numbers and cheer their favourite politicians and party cadres as they grace the day with lots of fun, enjoyment and entertainment awaiting all.
“I invite everyone to the Mbarara NRM Cup happening on September 29 at Kakyeka Stadium,” he said, adding that special guests including cabinet ministers are also expected to grace the occasion.
