The Senior Presidential Advisor and Head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has called on Ugandan women and youths to take full advantage of government wealth creation programs and remain steadfast pillars in both their families and the nation.
Speaking this afternoon at the 3rd anniversary celebrations of Ddoboozilyo Events Management Association—an umbrella body for MCs, Ssengas, Kkōjas, decorators, and other event professionals across Uganda, Hajjat Namyalo commended the group for their creativity, resilience, and commitment to uplifting communities.

Held at Tick Hotel in Kawempe Division, the celebration brought together hundreds of members from across the country, majority of whom are women deeply involved in Uganda’s fast-growing events industry.
In her address, Hajjat Namyalo praised the women in the association for their frontline role in fighting household poverty, especially in single-parent homes where they serve as the main providers and care takers.

“You, the women of Uganda, are the foundation of your families. I urge you to embrace government programs on wealth creation, follow them up and ensure they transform your lives. You must be the watchdogs of your households and communities to make sure these initiatives work for you, because much as President Museveni is supporting us with these funds in Emyooga and Parish Development Model, he cannot follow up across the country”.
She applauded the association for their unity and organisation which she said plays a vital role in ensuring effective service delivery as well as promoting culture and values especially in Central Buganda with emphasis on local languages.
“Your unity as an association makes it easier for government to reach you with programs like Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga. It shows that when people are organized, it becomes easier to allocate and monitor funds for real impact,” Hajjat Namyalo noted.
She reiterated her commitment to supporting the association’s members by providing start-up tools and capital, as she has done for other groups across the country, to boost their household incomes and business ventures.
Hajjat Namyalo also emphasized the importance of political stability in sustaining development efforts, urging Ugandans to continue backing the leadership of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the NRM government.
“Let us not be misled. The peace and stability we enjoy today are because of President Museveni’s visionary leadership. I call upon you all to support the NRM government, which has made it possible for our children to go to school, for women to do business, and for events like this one to take place in peace,” she added.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Ms. Nanyonjo Juliet, who also serves as the association’s spokesperson, expressed deep appreciation to Hajjat Namyalo for her continued commitment to empowering women.
“We are truly honoured to host Hajjat Namyalo today. Her presence here shows that she walks the talk. She doesn’t just talk about empowering women—she actually shows up and supports us. We thank her for prioritizing women in her wealth creation campaigns,” Nanyonjo said.
Based in Nakulabye, Kampala, the Ddoboozilyo Events Management Association brings together more than 500 event professionals from all corners of the country.
