The manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye aka Chief Muzzukulu has today handed over motorcycles to Ghetto SACCOs from Kawempe Division.
The motorcycles handed over at ONC Offices in Kyambogo, were donated by prominent city businesswoman Ms. Maria Namusoke Kamoga of Honda by Markh Investments Ltd as part of her contribution to ONC’s efforts in empowering Ugandan youths.
Ms. Namusoke, who delivered the motorcycles earlier this week, expressed her commitment to supporting Hajjat Namyalo’s nationwide campaign focused on empowering youth and women.
“I have come to give a hand to Hajjat Namyalo in her empowerment drives because she is doing a very impressive job in uplifting the lower income people with capital items to help themselves out of poverty. Whenever you look out for the needy persons and empower them, you’re helping a nation at large, and as Markh Investments we have come out to contribute towards this cause,” Ms Namusoke said while delivering the motorcycles.
It is worth noting that Ms. Namusoke has consistently supported ONC’s empowerment initiatives across various regions, including Masaka, Wakiso and Kawempe. Her efforts have now extended to Kampala, where she has also pledged to provide further support to the Bazzukulu.
Today’s donation of motorcycles was received by leaders from various Ghetto SACCOs, including Kawempe North, New Pentagon, Gaza SACCO, and Kawempe South. These motorcycles are part of a larger effort to provide income-generating tools that will boost youth empowerment in Kawempe Division.
Speaking during the handover ceremony Hajjat Namyalo emphasized that the motorcycles are meant to benefit all SACCO members, not individuals.
“This initiative isn’t about fighting anyone, it’s about creating wealth for our fellow Bazzukulu. There are many people left out by existing systems and we can’t wait for the government when we have generous individuals like Ms Maria Namusoke willing to help” Hajjat Namyalo said.
”These motorcycles are for the entire SACCO, not for sale, and they should be used to generate more income and improve your savings as we continue to seek additional support from our Jajja,” she said, commending Ms. Namusoke for her generosity.
In response, Ghetto SACCO leaders commended Hajjat Namyalo for her commitment to uplifting the youths and women especially in the ghettos and pledged to mobilize millions of votes for President Museveni in 2026 as a show of gratitude for his ongoing support.
Meanwhile, Kyeswa Hakim, head of digital media at ONC used the same event to reassure the youths that President Museveni remains committed to fulfilling his promises. He urged them to avoid being manipulated by opportunistic politicians during the upcoming elections.
Kyeswa also encouraged the youth to take advantage of ONC office to communicate their needs directly to the President through Hajjat Namyalo who is always ready to listen to their concerns.
Under Hajjat Namyalo’s leadership, ONC has been a driving force in grassroots empowerment and sustainable development through wealth creation tools.
Since the campaign began, over one million youths have benefitted from either directly or indirectly with the initiative reaching nearly every corner of the country.
The office has donated empowerment tools including brick laying machines, Hoes, oxen ploughs, sprayers, carpentry tools, charcoal stoves, salon dryers, shaving machines, welding machines, tailoring machines, hand dryers, frying pans, mechanic tools boxes among others.
