With Christmas Day on the horizon, our dedicated joint security personnel, both armed and unarmed, are actively patrolling designated areas across the nation.
Our focus is on ensuring the peace, safety, and security of Ugandans and visitors during this festive season. The increased visibility includes various road policing measures, such as snap checks and stop-and-search operations, which form just a fraction of our comprehensive security strategy.

While acknowledging the existing threat environment, we want to reassure the public that we are continuously assessing all threats and vulnerabilities as we approach Christmas and the New Year.
Our joint intelligence components have meticulously profiled major installations, significant venues, and potential hotspots, ensuring that all standby teams, mobile squads, advance teams, 999 patrol, and motorcycle squads are strategically positioned.

To enhance our surveillance capabilities, we have incorporated effective CCTV technology, capturing vehicle number plates and driver images. We encourage owners of private CCTV cameras to promptly alert the police of any potential danger and share recorded footage.
Rest assured, we remain fully committed to collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure a safe and successful festive season for everyone.
