Rwanda’s Ministry of Health has reported six deaths from Marburg virus disease (MVD), just a day after confirming the outbreak of this deadly Viral Hemorrhagic Fever (VHF).
So far, 26 cases have been recorded. The situation is being closely monitored as health officials work to contain the spread. The public is urged to stay vigilant and follow health guidelines.
In a video aired on Rwanda Television (RTV) on Saturday, Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana, Minister of Health, said that majority of the victims are health workers, particularly those who work in intensive care units.
