Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Tulia Ackson, has announced the untimely demise of Dr Faustine Ndugulile, Member of Parliament for Kigamboni.
Dr Ndugulile passed ain the early hours of November 27, 2024, in India, where he had been receiving medical treatment.
In her statement, Dr Ackson expressed profound sorrow over the loss of the distinguished MP, who also served as the Regional Director for the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Africa.
“I received the sad news of Dr Ndugulile’s passing with great sorrow. His death is a loss not only to the people of Kigamboni but to all Tanzanians. May the Almighty rest his soul in eternal peace,” she said.
The Parliament Office conveyed its condolences to Dr Ndugulile’s family and pledged its support in finalising funeral arrangements, with further details expected to follow.
Dr Faustine Ndugulile, born in 1969, was a respected figure in Tanzanian politics and public health, remembered for his dedication to improving the lives of his constituents and his contributions to global health initiatives.
The nation joins his family, friends, and colleagues in mourning the passing of a man whose legacy will be cherished for years to come.
