Excitement is building in Sironko as the district prepares to host the much-anticipated Sironko Empowerment Outreach this Saturday, 27th September 2025, at Sironko High School Playgrounds. The event, championed by Hon. Mafabi Asha Nabulo in partnership with the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), is part of a broader nationwide empowerment campaign.
At the forefront of this initiative is Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Head of the ONC, who has been instrumental in rolling out life-changing empowerment programs across Uganda.
The outreach will offer a range of opportunities for the community, including free startup equipment to support youth and women-led enterprises, as well as free eats and drinks for all attendees. To add to the festive atmosphere, the event will feature live performances from celebrated Ugandan artistes such as Gravity Omutujju, Lil Pazo Lunabe, San Cee, and several talents from the Elgon sub-region.
Hon. Mafabi Asha Nabulo, who was recently nominated unopposed as the NRM flag bearer for Woman MP in Sironko District, described the occasion as both empowering and one of a kind.
“This is more than just an event—it is about opening doors for the youth, women, and families of Sironko. Together with the Office of the National Chairman, we are determined to empower our people with real tools, opportunities, and hope for a better tomorrow.” Hon. Nabulo said while paying courterssy visit to ONC offices in Kyambogo.
Echoing her remarks, Hajjat Namyalo reaffirmed the ONC’s mission to deliver tangible impact to the people of Sironko as she has done in other parts of the country.
“We are not here to make promises—we are here to deliver. The Office of the National Chairman is focused on giving people what they need to thrive: skills, equipment, and platforms. Sironko is about to witness empowerment in action, and this is just the beginning.” Hajjat Namyalo said.
According to the organizers on ground, thousands of people are expected to turn up for the 100% free event, which blends economic empowerment with entertainment and community celebration. With music, skills, and opportunities all in one place, the Sironko Empowerment Outreach is poised to become a landmark moment for the Elgon region.
Hajjat Namyalo’s Life -changing Empowerment Initiatives
Under Hajjat Namyalo’s stewardship, ONC has spearheaded several empowerment programs across the country, transforming countless lives through entrepreneurship, vocational training, and financial literacy campaigns.
From youth and women empowerment drives to agricultural support initiatives, her leadership has been instrumental in ensuring Ugandans harness available opportunities for self-reliance.
Hajjat Namyalo’s initiatives have achieved significant milestones in grassroots empowerment across Uganda. Thousands of youths have been equipped with vocational skills, enabling them to start their own businesses and combat unemployment.
Women in various regions have gained access to start-up capital, business mentorship and cooperative programs designed to enhance financial independence. In the agricultural sector, farmers have benefited from improved seeds, modern farming tools and agribusiness training to boost food security and economic stability.
Additionally, small business owners have received additional income generating tools to sustain and grow their enterprises, further driving economic empowerment and self-reliance.
ONC will spread to other areas to drive its mission of wealth creation, reinforcing NRM government’s vision of economic prosperity for all.
