Nationwide campaigns for presidential, parliamentary, local government, and Special Interest Group (SIG) positions are currently underway and authorities are urging all candidates to strictly follow the established electoral guidelines.
Election organizers are reminded that campaign programs must be coordinated in close consultation with key stakeholders particularly Electoral Commission and Uganda Police, to ensure orderly, secure and harmonized activities. Candidates are further advised to adhere to agreed upon routes and protocols to prevent clashes, especially among rival supporters.

Authorities have reiterated that processions remain prohibited and candidates are expected to meet their supporters only at designated campaign venues. The misuse of ambulances as lead vehicles has also been banned, with drivers warned against abusing emergency service privileges.

Security agencies have condemned all forms of election related violence, including the defacing of campaign posters. Individuals involved in such acts face prosecution.
Police have also recorded instances of cybercrime linked to the campaigns, cautioning perpetrators that the law provides for severe penalties.
Additionally, criminals disguising themselves in party T-shirts and campaign paraphernalia have reportedly been robbing the public of phones, cash, and valuables. Security teams have been directed to act decisively against these groups.
Persistent traffic violations such as overloading and reckless driving remain a concern during campaign activities. Police urge candidates and their teams to collaborate closely with traffic officers, emergency medical services and the fire brigade, as large crowds present heightened safety and security risks.
Uganda Police warn that all offenders will be held individually accountable. Those who evade arrest at the scene will be tracked down and apprehended at a later time.
