The Chief of Defense Forces, who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, held a meeting this afternoon with the EU Ambassador to Uganda, His Excellency Jan Sadek.
During the meeting at the Ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs headquarters in Mbuya, General Kainerugaba and Ambassador Sadek discussed enhancing security cooperation between Uganda and the EU.
According to a message from the CDF’s office, the meeting also discussed international and regional points of interest.
The meeting was also attended by Maj Gen James Birungi, the Chief of Defense Intelligence and Security, and Maj Gen Henry Masiko from the Joint Staff – Political Commissariat.
This meeting builds upon previous engagements, with General Kainerugaba and the EU Ambassador having held discussions last year in Entebbe on areas of common interest.
