In a show of generosity and support for Uganda’s Muslim community ahead of Eid al-Adha, the Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC) has launched a large-scale distribution of food packages to thousands of Muslims and Bazzukulu across the country. The initiative kicked off this afternoon with a ceremonial flag-off event at ONC headquarters in Kyambogo.
The campaign, which begins with the Kampala Metropolitan Area, comes after a substantial donation of cattle and essential food items from supporters and well-wishers of President Yoweri Museveni. The gesture is aimed at supporting Muslim families in observing Eid al-Adha, a period marked by sacrifice, charity, and communal unity.

Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, the Manager of the Office Of The National Chairman, emphasized the importance of reaching communities in need during this sacred time.
She revealed that the donated cattle will be slaughtered, and the meat distributed alongside other foodstuffs such as rice, posho, spaghetti, sugar, cooking oil, and milk. “In the spirit of sacrifice and generosity, we want our Muslim brothers and sisters to celebrate Eid with dignity and full hearts,” Namyalo said.
Hajjat Namyalo noted that the campaign is not only a gesture of goodwill but also a testament to the President’s commitment to inclusive development and religious harmony.
”As the basis of our office being for the Bazzukulu, this has been done for them by our Jajja. This is not about politics, it’s about standing with our people in faith and unity. Eid al-Adha reminds us of our shared humanity and the duty we have to support one another as Bazzukulu,” she added.
The distribution will officially commence on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, targeting mosques and youth groups known as Bazzukulu ba Museveni in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, and neighboring areas. These locations have been strategically selected to ensure widespread reach and impact, particularly among vulnerable populations.
