In a bold and strategic move to boost Uganda’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, aspiring National Chairperson of the NRM Entrepreneurs’ League, King Ceasor Mulenga, has today signed a UGX 1 billion cheque to support the General Entrepreneurs SACCO, a major boost for Uganda’s small and medium business community.
Mulenga, who is vying for the position of National Chairperson of the NRM Entrepreneurs’ League, made the announcement while meeting with delegates from the Central Region, one of the most politically influential voting blocs within the party.

“This is not just about leadership—it’s about delivering results now,” Mulenga told cheering delegates. “We cannot keep discussing transformation without first empowering the people who drive our economy, our entrepreneurs.”
The UGX 1.8 billion fund, signed off with a ceremonial cheque presentation, will go directly into strengthening the SACCO’s loan portfolio and support programs. It is designed to benefit youth- and women-led enterprises, many of whom continue to struggle with limited access to affordable capital.

The move was met with overwhelming approval from party faithful, who praised Mulenga’s action-oriented approach.
“He’s not just talking—he’s already walking the talk,” said one excited delegate. “This is the kind of leader our entrepreneurs need.”
The donation comes at a critical time as the NRM pushes for increased grassroots economic empowerment. Mulenga’s campaign has centered on entrepreneurship, innovation, and inclusive economic growth, themes that resonate deeply with the party’s base and national development agenda.
By channeling funds directly into a SACCO linked to the Entrepreneurs’ League, Mulenga is demonstrating visionary leadership and practical action, a combination that analysts say sets him apart from other contenders.
“He’s investing in the future of Uganda’s economy before even being elected. That’s a bold and commendable move,” commented a political observer.
In his closing remarks, Mulenga urged delegates to rally behind leaders who “invest in the people before seeking the position.”
