The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye today joined Hon. Asha Nabulo Mafabi, the NRM flag bearer and aspiring Woman MP for Sironko District for a massive empowerment drive at Sironko High School Playgrounds.

The gathering attracted thousands of people from across the Elgon sub-region, with beneficiaries receiving a wide range of free start-up equipment to boost their house hold incomes.

While addressing the gathering, Hon. Asha Nabulo Mafabi expressed appreciation to Hajjat Namyalo for spearheading the program and delivering life-changing support to residents. She further commended President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for honouring commitments to Sironko through infrastructure, youth and women initiatives, and community development projects. Pledging loyalty to the NRM, she encouraged locals to strengthen their backing of party leaders.

“Our future as Sironko district lies in unity and continued trust in the NRM government as well as supporting our flag bearers. With President Museveni’s steady leadership and the empowerment programs being rolled out by Hajjat Namyalo, like the one we are seeing today, Sironko is on the right path to prosperity.” Hon Nabulo said.

“I promise to work hand in hand with President Museveni and our NRM leaders to ensure that Sironko continues to benefit from development programs. I urge every resident to support our flag bearers and reject those who oppose progress,” she added.

Hajjat Namyalo who also doubles as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and in her remarks, saluted the huge turnout and underscored her focus on community empowerment through wealth creation. She rallied residents to stand firmly with President Museveni and NRM leaders, warning against opposition voices who, in her words, mislead the population.

“You cannot expect someone who abuses government every day to lobby for your schools, roads, or jobs… while you, the ordinary people, are the ones who lose out. Our mission is to give you the tools and opportunities that can transform your homes and communities. When households thrive, the whole district thrives, and that is the true meaning of empowerment.” Hajjat Namyalo said.

NRM District Vice Chairperson Ms. Nabukwasi Jane Josephine echoed similar sentiments, applauding the ONC manager for bringing the empowerment drive to Sironko.
