Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, the Senior Presidential Advisor and head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), has extended her support to rising boxing talent Alex Kanaabi by purchasing tickets worth over UGX 4 million ahead of his much-anticipated fight this Saturday.
Kanaabi is set to face off with Neric Bulaabe in the Uganda Boxing Champions League (Week 7) at MTN Arena, Lugogo, on 26 July 2025.
Speaking after the gesture, Hajjat Namyalo said her support was aimed at promoting local sports talent and encouraging youth empowerment through disciplined sportsmanship.
“I support youth who use their talents productively, and sports like boxing foster discipline, focus, and determination,” she said.
She advised Kanaabi to focus on Mike Tyson-like boxing bouts that usually ended in less than a minute with a knockout.
The Uganda Boxing Champions League continues to attract national attention as it builds momentum toward the season finale.
Hajjat Hadijah has always pledged support for youths who seek to develop their talents, and today’s gesture is one of those.
