Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja led the praise, hailing the President as the champion of women emancipation. She said her own journey from district leadership to the premiership reflects the doors now open for women under Museveni’s leadership.

Kibaale District NRM Chairperson, Matovu Fred, also thanked the President for the region’s mega projects—including Kabalega International Airport, Hoima City Stadium, the regional public university and the upgraded road network—before confirming that 110 acres have already been secured for the proposed Kibaale Industrial Park.
Their remarks came as President Museveni opened his Bunyoro sub-region campaign at Buyanja Village in Kibaale District, where he announced that the government will establish a new industrial park and an additional skilling hub to boost production and youth empowerment.

The President said the NRM’s 40-year track record in Bunyoro is anchored on peace, development and wealth creation. He reminded residents of the ADF incursions once faced in Muzizi, emphasising that peace remains the foundation of the region’s progress.

On development, he dismissed claims that Bunyoro had been neglected, pointing to strategic investments like the Hoima–Kyegegwa road and petroleum-related infrastructure. He said the new industrial park—requiring about 10 square miles—will accelerate value addition and job creation, complementing existing parks in Namanve, Mbale and Kapeka.

Museveni also urged households to embrace the four-acre model as a pathway to wealth, citing success stories of farmers whose livelihoods have improved through NRM-guided enterprise selection and PDM financing.
The Speaker of Parliament and NRM Second National Vice Chairperson, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among, thanked the President for the sustained development in Bunyoro and encouraged residents to entrust him with another mandate to consolidate the gains.
NRM Western Region Vice Chairperson, Hon. Jonard Asiimwe, assured the public that he will closely monitor the implementation of the industrial park to ensure timely delivery.
