The aspirant for Central Region Youth MP seat (2026–2031) Hon. Kimuli Louis has ramped up his bid with intensive regional tours, mobilizing support from delegates ahead of the upcoming 2025 NRM Youth League elections set for later this month at Kololo independence grounds.
Currently serving as Vice-Chairperson of the NRM Youth League in Rubaga, Kimuli concluded his latest round of engagements in Nakasongola on Tuesday, marking the end of a tour he describes as “a mission to connect, unite, and empower the youth leadership of our region.”

Over the past several weeks, Kimuli has reached nearly 90% of Central Region districts — including Kayunga, Mukono, Mubende, Nakasongola, Luwero, Wakiso, Entebbe, Kampala, Buikwe, Kassanda, among others, listening to community concerns, promoting the NRM’s wealth creation agenda, and building momentum for a youth-centered future.
While addressing delegates in Nakasongola, Kimuli declared that he is not just seeking the support and votes from youths but he is also standing to build a generation that will take charge interms of empowerment and job creation.
“I am here to earn your trust, not just your vote. Together, we can build a generation that takes charge of its own destiny. My vision is to equip young people with the tools, skills, and opportunities to lead in business, innovation, and governance.”
His manifesto emphasizes:
- Entrepreneurship & Job Creation – Establishing innovation hubs in each district to mentor and incubate youth-led businesses.
- Skills Development – Expanding vocational training and mentorship programs to bridge the gap between education and employment.
- Youth Capital Access – Lobbying for increased funding and affordable credit facilities tailored to young entrepreneurs.
- Inclusive Leadership – Ensuring youth voices are represented in decision-making at every level.
Reaffirming his mission, Kimuli tasked the youth leaders to create opportunities and reach out to every young person in their communities.
“Our future will not be handed to us — we must shape it. Let us create opportunities that are not limited to a few, but reach every young person in every community.” he noted
The NRM Youth MP flag bearer elections will be decided by a structured electoral college of around 3,500 youth delegates from across the Central Region, drawn from district and sub-county youth councils, youth leagues, and other recognized structures.
These leaders hold the power to choose the party’s official representative ahead of the national parliamentary elections — making grassroots trust and clear policy vision essential to victory.
With his strong network, hands-on engagement, and practical development agenda, political observers see Kimuli as one of the front-runners for the seat.
