The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) has continued its nationwide outreach to Muslim communities with Day 2 of the Eid al-Adha donation drive, spearheaded by ONC Manager and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye.
The initiative, carried out on behalf of H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni seeks to support Muslims across Uganda as they prepare to celebrate one of the most sacred days in the Islamic calendar.

The second day of the campaign began at Masjid Al-Hidaaya in Banda, Nakawa Division, where Hajjat Namyalo donated a cow and essential food items including rice, posho, and sugar.

She was warmly welcomed by the mosque chairman, Muhamood Bukenya, who expressed deep appreciation for the gesture.
“We are truly grateful for this timely support as we prepare for Eid al-Adha,” said Chairman Bukenya. “The donated animals and food packages will allow many families to celebrate with joy and dignity.”
From Banda, the campaign proceeded to Masjid Noor Seeta UMEA in Mukono District. There, Hajjat Namyalo delivered another cow and food items.
She further pledged to personally contribute towards the completion of the mosque, which is still under construction. Her announcement was met with cheers and applause from the gathered worshippers.

Next on the itinerary was Masjid Taqwa in Zirobwe, Luwero District, where Hajjat Namyalo was received by the Head of Sheikhs in the district, Sheikh Zaidi Nyanzi, and Sheikh Swalahudin Nurudin Ssendagire.
As in the previous locations, she donated a cow and food packages to assist the local Muslim community in preparing for the Eid celebration.
The day’s activities concluded at Masjid Saeed Al Majdour in Kasangati, where Hajjat Namyalo once again distributed a cow and food items to a grateful congregation.
The overwhelming warmth and gratitude shown by community members underscored the significance and impact of ONC’s ongoing outreach.

This latest phase follows a successful Day 1 rollout in which the ONC team delivered similar donations to communities in Kisenyi, Kibuli, Kawempe, Nansana, and Masajja.
Eid al-Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” commemorates the unwavering faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to Allah.
Muslims mark the occasion by slaughtering animals and sharing the meat with family, friends, and the less fortunate, symbolizing sacrifice, generosity, and compassion.
Addressing worshippers at each stop, Hajjat Namyalo emphasized that the donations were made on behalf of President Museveni, whom she fondly referred to as “Jajja” (grandfather) to the Bazzukulu (grandchildren).

“His Excellency the President sends his love, blessings, and warmest Eid greetings to all Muslims,” she stated. “Through ONC, we are ensuring that our Muslim brothers and sisters across Uganda celebrate with joy and dignity.”
She also encouraged the faithful to reflect on the spiritual lessons of Eid—obedience, unity, and selflessness—and to embrace the President’s ongoing call for wealth creation and job generation as key pillars of national development.
“This is not just a seasonal gesture,” Hajjat Namyalo affirmed. “Supporting our communities during Eid has become an ONC tradition. We shall continue to deliver these blessings to even more areas in the coming days.”
