President Museveni Resumes PDM Assessment Tour in Ankole Subregion The President of the Republic of Uganda, His Excellency, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who also serves as the National Chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has today resumed his Parish Development Model (PDM) assessment tour in the Ankole Sub region.

This follows his successful visits to most regions across the country, where he has been evaluating the progress and impact of government programs aimed at improving livelihoods and fostering economic growth.

The three-day tour, running from February 25th to 27th, will focus on assessing the implementation of the PDM, a flagship government initiative designed to uplift households from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture and other income-generating activities. During his visit, the President will engage with successful farmers who have benefited from the PDM, meet local leaders and technocrats, and conclude with a public rally to address the community.
These assessment tours have proven to be a critical tool for the President and his administration in identifying achievements, challenges, and areas requiring improvement in various government programs. By interacting directly with beneficiaries and stakeholders on the ground, the President gains first-hand insights into the effectiveness of these initiatives and ensures that resources are being utilized efficiently to achieve their intended goals.
We commend President Museveni for his unwavering commitment to monitoring and evaluating government programs, as this demonstrates his dedication to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. His hands-on approach underscores his vision of transforming Uganda into a self-reliant and prosperous nation.
As citizens, let us rally behind President Museveni’s efforts and support his dream of building a Uganda where every household can thrive economically. Together, we can achieve the goal of a self-sustaining nation and ensure that the benefits of programs like the PDM reach all corners of the country.
