Dear Comrades, NRM. Delegates, Buganda has always been a stronghold of support for President Museveni and the NRM. However, the recent NUP wave was not a rejection of the NRM but a protest against lazy and unresponsive leaders within our party, especially in the Central Executive Committee (CEC). To reclaim our dominance in Buganda, we must address the critical issues affecting our people:
Protecting Bibanja Holders – We need clear policies in CEC that translate into strong legislation to shield them from land grabbers.
Fighting Corruption – Rampant corruption erodes public trust. We must root it out decisively. By tackling land grabbing and corruption head-on, the NRM will not only regain its glory in Buganda but also strengthen its bond with the people.
I, Hakim Kyeswa, am running for NRM Vice Chairperson, Central Region, in the upcoming Delegates Conference on August 28th.
With your support, we can revolutionize the NRM and ensure that “Nothing for Us Without Us” becomes a reality. Together, let’s rebuild, reclaim, and restore Buganda’s confidence in the NRM!
