The Katwe Kabatoro Community Grade III Health Centre has received a major boost following the donation of essential medical equipment from the Ruparelia Foundation, under the leadership of philanthropist Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia.
The support comes at a critical time for the facility, which caters to a large population with limited resources. With the new medical tools, the centre will be able to provide faster diagnoses, expand treatment services, and improve the efficiency of patient care.

Health workers noted that the intervention will significantly ease existing challenges—reducing delays, enhancing the accuracy of medical assessments, and improving patient outcomes.

For years, the Ruparelia Foundation has placed community health at the heart of its initiatives. Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia’s commitment to social responsibility has been evident through consistent support for hospitals and health centres across the country. This latest gesture reinforces the Foundation’s vision of extending quality healthcare to underserved communities.
“Dr. Sudhir has dedicated his life to raising living standards for Ugandans. His influence goes beyond real estate—his investments span education, healthcare, and recreation,” a representative of the health centre remarked with gratitude, noting that the donation would greatly strengthen service delivery.
By equipping rural and semi-urban facilities such as Katwe Kabatoro, the Foundation is helping close the gap between urban and remote healthcare services. This collaboration also demonstrates the impact of private-sector partnerships in complementing government efforts to build a stronger health system.
The Ministry of Health continues to encourage similar contributions, reminding stakeholders that “every donation plays a crucial role in building a healthier, more resilient nation.”
