Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, welcomed her counterpart from Ghana, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, to Parliament House in Kampala.
The two Speakers engaged in a fruitful discussion on prioritizing African solutions to the challenges facing their people and ways to work together to build a united continent.
During the meeting, Speaker Among expressed her gratitude to Speaker Bagbin for his kind words about her role at the continental level.
“I want to thank him for his kind words regarding the role I play at the continental level,” she said.
Speaker Among also thanked her colleagues and the people of Ghana for the solidarity they showed during the legislation process aimed at safeguarding their values as a people.
