Police Arrest Three Suspects For Forging Security Documents In Downtown Operation

On November 18, 2024, the territorial Police at Central Police Station apprehended three suspects – Bagonza Eric, 28, Kati Ronald, 36, and Mwoko Parnento, 24 – for allegedly forging security documents. The arrests were made near Benkiwanuka Street at the former Shop Rite building.

It is alleged that the suspects, posing as Airtel agents, were involved in illegally printing and producing security documents, including National IDs, Passports and registration telecommunications lines specifically for Airtel.

A task team confirmed these allegations and raided the location recovering items including a machine used in the commission of the crime

The task team in collaboration with the Central Police Station Criminal Investigation Department, is currently recording statements and identifying the owners of the recovered National Identification Cards. This will guide the next steps in the investigation.
