This afternoon Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defence Forces of the UPDF, welcomed and held a meeting with a delegation from the Czech Republic for a strategic meeting. The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral military cooperation and discuss future collaborative projects.
Gen Kainerugaba, who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, met the delegation at the SFC Headquarters in Entebbe.
The meeting discussed security and bilateral relations between Uganda and the Czech Republic.
Gen Kainerugaba and the Czech Republic delegation led by Ms. Katerina Sequensova, Director General for Non-European Countries, Economic and Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic, discussed strengthening security and bilateral relations between Uganda and the Czech Republic.
Ms. Sequensova was accompanied by Mr. Jan Spiler, Chief of Intergovernmental Defence Cooperation, Lt. Col. Borijov Jurenka, the Military and Air Defence Attaché, and Mr. Vaclav Prasil, Director of Sub-Saharan Africa.
Additionally, the delegation included Ambassador Nicol Adamcova and Mr. Stephen Kaboyo, the Czech Republic Honorary Consul in Uganda, among others.
The meeting was also attended by the Commander of the Special Forces Command, Maj. Gen. BD Mugisha, and other senior SFC officers.
