His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda and Commander in Chief of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces has promoted 382 and confirmed 13 Senior and Junior officer Ranks of the UPDF as follows;

2. Acting Colonel to Colonel                                     – 04
3. Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel                              – 18
4. Acting Lieutenant Colonel to Lieutenant Colonel – 05
5. Major to Lieutenant Colonel                                 – 61
6. Acting Major to Major                                           – 02
7. Captain to Major                                                   – 92
8. Acting Captain to Captain                                    – 02
9. Lieutenant to Captain                                           – 210
